Exhibition industry professionals gathered at Expocentre Fairgrounds

18 / 10 / 2021

5pEXPO 2021, the 11th International Forum of the Exhibition Industry, has opened at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The Forum is organised by the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and EXPOCENTRE AO. The Forum is traditionally supported by the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), in partnership with the World Trade Centre.

About seventy companies from Russia, Germany and Turkey introduce visitors to the latest exhibition technologies, services, equipment, original creative ideas and projects.

Participation in the forum provides an opportunity to analyse the latest developments in the industry, demonstrate in-demand technologies and solutions for organising congress and exhibition events, and present the best Russian practices and international experience of organising and holding events.

The official opening ceremony was attended by Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Maxim Fateev, Chairman of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee for Exhibition and Congress Activities, Director General of EXPOCENTRE AO Alexey Vyalkin, President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, Director General of ExpoForum-International Sergey Voronkov, Deputy Director General of the World Trade Centre Vadim Subbotin and others.

Maxim Fateev began his speech by saying “Thank you!” “Thank you all for allowing us to meet at Expocentre Fairgrounds at this difficult time," he said. “Today the Russian and international exhibition and fair industry has confirmed that it exists. We are alive. We want to work for the benefit of our enterprises, our economies".

Alexey Vyalkin underlined that "our task is to bring the forum to a new level, to work out a new exhibition algorithm, to find new formats of its organisation. The main thing is to demonstrate to consumers and all interested parties that the balance of offline and online formats gives exhibitors much broader opportunities for presenting their products and services".

Sergey Voronkov noted that “2020 has made adjustments to our activities. For more than half a year, we were under a ban on events. But this did not break our industry. We found new standards for holding exhibition and congress events. We held our ground”.

Vadim Subbotin believes that “our business is gradually normalising. It is getting new forms. And holding this major exhibition and congress forum allows us to look at the future with optimism”.

The exhibition of the 5ðÅÕÐÎ 2021 forum is built as a city with five main streets: Developers Avenue, Exhibition Alley, Organisers Street, Suppliers Boulevard, and Partners Street that come together in the center of the exhibition, at Interests Intersection. The 5P city personifies the unity of five main components of the exhibition business: Place – exhibition and convention venues; Product – offer of exhibition services; Price – cost of services; Promotion – promotion of exhibition projects and services; and Partnership – collaboration.

The forum runs till October 20.
