Expocentre opened the 6th International Forum of Exhibition Industry 5pEXPO’2012

On June 6 Expocentre hosted the opening of the 6th International Forum of Exhibition Industry 5pEXPO’2012. The Forum is co-organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and Expocentre.

 

 The 5pEXPO’2012 Forum would give a new impetus to the Russian exhibition industry’s entering the world exhibition community, as the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vladimir P. Strashko noted at the opening ceremony. He emphasized that the Forum, which is held for the 6th time now, spoke for the intention to develop the exhibition activity for the good of the domestic economy. 5ðEXPO is gaining its significance, the number of participants is increasing year by year, the world exhibition community shows the growing interest in the Forum. On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and its President Sergey N. Katyrin, Vladimir P. Strashko wished the Forum participants successes.

 

Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Industrial policy and Entrepreneurship of the Moscow city Andrey V. Uvarov noted that it was possible to promote Russian manufacturers only for developing the exhibition and congress activity and applying advance technology into this sphere, and expressed confidence that 5ðEXPO Forum would have practical effect on the Moscow and Russia’s business.

Welcoming the 5pEXPO’2012 participants, Director General of Expocentre Sergey S. Bednov said with delight that the present forum had become a record one in the terms of the participants’ number and the international representation level. 123 companies from 32 countries are participating in the Forum.

 

 

On behalf of the Forum organizers Director General of Expocentre expressed gratitude to the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow which kindly provided  Forum 5pEXPO’2012 its patronage. Mr. Bedonv as well highly appreciated support and participation of such authoritative professional associations as the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.

5pEXPO’2012 is a working platform for discussing professional issues and questions. The 4th All-Russian Conference on the Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activity is one of the Forum’s key events. For the first time in Russia within the 5pEXPO’2012 Forum there will be held the Annual General Meeting of Members of the International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services (IFES).

 

On behalf of the IFES Association, IFES President Bruno Meissner addressed the 5pEXPO’2012 participants. He expressed confidence that the Forum will have a powerful synergetic effect on the exhibition industry development. Providing an area for meetings, negotiations with colleagues from Russia and other countries, the Forum will become a platform for learning possibilities of the participating companies and discussing common issues on organization of exhibition and congress events, safety and other topical issues.

The 5pEXPO’2012 Forum held on the main exhibition platform of Russia has become a good tradition, as Chairman of the European Department of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF) Sergey P. Alekssev noted. The exhibition and forum showcase possibilities for advancing and developing the exhibition industry which has already recovered its pre-crisis level and is successfully moving forward. The exhibition community can respond to challenges of the time, as the RUEF President said.  

Vice President of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) Janosh Barabash and General Director of JSC World Trade Center Vladimir Y. Salamatov congratulated the organizers and participants on the 5pEXPO’2012 International Forum opening.
