All-Russian Conference on Exhibition Activities and 5ðÅÕÐÎ 2014 Forum Were Highly Appreciated by Participants and Experts
Within three days from June 4 to 6 Expocentre Fairgrounds was an excellent venue for effective communication between exhibitors, businessmen and authorities. Expocentre hosted two major events: the 5th All-Russian Conference on Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activities as a Tool to Improve Competitiveness and Modernization of the Russian Economy and the 8th International Forum for Exhibition Industry 5pEXPO 2014.
The conference and the forum were organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and Expocentre ZAO with the support from the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Government, the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.
Representatives of federal and regional legislative and executive authorities, RF CCI, Russian regional chambers of commerce and industry, unions and associations of entrepreneurs, major exhibition and congress organizers took part in the discussions on development of the Russian and global exhibition and convention markets.
The forum participants considered the issues concerning measures of state support; development of regulatory framework of the exhibition industry; key tendencies of the economic growth; Development Concept of the exhibition and meeting industry in Russia; programmes and projects of regional development and construction of exhibition centres, as well as intellectual property protection and enforcement at exhibitions and many others.
The panel discussion on the Concept of the Draft Law on Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activities was first held at the forum.
The expoPRODUCT exhibition held a specific place at the 5ðÅÕÐÎ 2014 Forum. The exhibitors put on display technology and equipment, design and services in exhibition, meeting and event industries.
The exhibition traditionally featured the EXPODESIGN. Best Russian Stands Competition. It was devoted to innovations in exhibition stand design, exposition decoration, and peculiar properties of new construction and decoration materials.
Another premier of the 5ðÅÕÐÎ 2014 Forum was a new project in support of young businessmen Start up + Exhibition = Success. It was designed to promote services developed by youth companies to key exhibition industry players from Russia and Europe, and assist young entrepreneurs engaged in the event, meeting and exhibition industries to get grants, contracts and orders.
The 5pEXPO conference, forum and exhibition were highly appreciated by the participants and professionals of the exhibition and convention business. Honorary President of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) Cliff Wallace highly spoke of the exhibition, “The exhibition is well-planned and organized. The exposition and stands are of high quality. I was impressed with a startling development of the show since I had visited it six years before. I was also very impressed with the quality of high technologies, products and services as well as the level of artistic execution.”
This year the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the City of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea made their debut at 5ðÅÕÐÎ 2014. Among the participants in the conference, forum and exhibition there were representatives of VDNH-Expo, a new exhibition centre opened in Ufa in February 2014.
According to the organizers, participants and trade visitors, 5pEXPO has fully lived up to their expectations and become a milestone for further development of Russia’s exhibition and convention business and extension of interregional and international cooperation in exhibition and meeting related services.
